BIGD Collection Stories’ aim was to promote literacy development for Deaf children using British Sign Language (BSL) and Sign Support English (SSE).
 
The short stories in this book are all created by Deaf children, for Deaf children in Deaf/provision schools in England. They are brimming with imagination and magnificent worlds, and it is our hope that they will encourage more deaf children to read and dream and be inspired to create their own tales.
